ALL RIGHT. IN ORDER FOR THE BOARD TO HOLD THIS MEETING IN AN EFFECTIVE MANNER, I WANT TO LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THIS MEETING WILL BE CONDUCTED IN AN ORDERLY FASHION, AND I ASK THE PUBLIC TO ABIDE BY THE RULES OUTLINED IN BOARD POLICY BED LOCAL, PERTAINING TO PUBLIC PARTICIPATION.

ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE REPORT, OR TAPER FOR THE YEAR 2022-2023.

DOCTOR ELIZALDE. THANK YOU, VICE PRESIDENT MICCICHE.

SO THIS IS AN ANNUAL REPORT TEA PUTS OUT, AND OUR TEAM THEN, SYNTHESIZES IT AND SUMMARIZES IT.

IT'S ALSO YOU'LL HEAR IN THE PRESENTATION, IT'S AVAILABLE ON ALL OF OUR CAMPUS WEBSITES SO THAT INDIVIDUALS FROM OUR COMMUNITY CAN ALSO, SEE THIS PARTICULAR DATA SET.

LEGAL REQUIREMENT, THE TEXAS EDUCATION CODE 39.306 AND AIB LEGAL REQUIRES US TO DO THIS ONCE.

THE TAPER REPORT, WHICH IS THE TEXAS ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE REPORT, IS RELEASED.

IT WAS RELEASED DECEMBER 15TH.

WE HAVE 90 DAYS TO PRESENT THIS AND WE ARE WITHIN THAT TIME FRAME.

THE INTENT OF THIS IS TO FOR THIS REQUIREMENT IS TO INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE EDUCATIONAL AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF THE DISTRICT.

SPECIFICALLY TODAY, I'M GOING TO TRY TO CAPSULIZE WHAT'S GOING TO BE IN THIS REPORT AND WHERE TO FIND IT, SO BECAUSE A LOT OF THESE REPORTS ARE EXTENSIVE . THESE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE LISTED.

THEY'RE OUTLINED. AND WE'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH EACH ONE OF THESE IN THE NEXT THREE PAGES.

SO IT'S NOT GOING TO BE THAT LONG.

WHAT I WANT TO SHOW YOU HERE ON THE FAR RIGHT IS THE SECTIONS THAT WILL BE ON THE WEBSITE.

THIS STARTS OFF WITH THREE SECTION THREE, BUT SECTION ONE IS THE SUMMARY REPORT THAT WAS POSTED ALONG WITH THIS POWERPOINT AND THE GUIDELINES.

SECTION TWO IS THE POLICY THAT WE HAVE THE AIB THAT WE JUST TALKED ABOUT.

SO NOW I'M GOING TO START WITH SECTION THREE.

SECTION THREE DESCRIBES PROVIDES A REPORT FROM TEA ON THE FINANCIAL ACTUAL DATA FOR 21-22.

IT'S ONLY A FIVE PAGE REPORT, FIVE PAGES, AND IT HAS SECTIONS SUCH AS REVENUES, EXPENDITURES, DISBURSEMENTS, TAX RATE AND FUND BALANCE. I HAVE POSTED HERE THAT THE TOTAL REVENUE FOR 21-22 WAS 1.6 BILLION.

THAT WAS SECTION THREE.

SECTION FOUR WANTS US TO PROVIDE THE REPORT FROM TA THAT TELLS US WHAT OUR ACCREDITATION STATUS IS FOR THE DISTRICT.

AND AS YOU CAN SEE, WE ARE ACCREDITED.

THAT'S THE HIGHEST LEVEL.

AND SO WE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT THAT.

SECTION FIVE IS ACTUALLY THE TAPER REPORT THAT WE TALK ABOUT.

AND THERE'S WE HAVE SEVERAL LINES HERE THAT WE REQUIRED.

THE FIRST ONE IS TO PROVIDE THE DISTRICT TAPER WHICH IS IN FIVE A AND THEN ALL THE CAMPUSES TAPER REPORTS.

AND SO IT'S ONE PLACE TO GET ANY OF THE CAMPUSES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO REVIEW IN SECTION FIVE B.

NOW THE NEXT TWO ITEMS HERE ARE WHAT WE NORMALLY SEE ON THE FRONT PAGE OF A TAPER REPORT.

THEY USUALLY TALK ABOUT THE SPECIAL EDUCATION AND ADVENTURE STAGE.

IT HAS NOT BEEN PUBLICLY REPORTED, SO WE DO NOT HAVE THAT AT THIS TIME.

AND THEN WE ALSO MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT THE ARMED SERVICES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE BATTERY TEST.

WE THERE WAS NOTHING MENTIONED, BUT WE DID PROVIDE AN OFFER THAT TEST NOVEMBER 6TH THROUGH THE 10TH LAST FALL 2023.

THE NEXT SECTION, WHICH IS THE SIX, IS THE ACTUAL ACCOUNTABILITY RATINGS AND DISTINCTIONS FOR THE DISTRICT IN THE CAMPUSES.

AND AS YOU KNOW, THIS REPORT IS NOT AVAILABLE BECAUSE THERE'S BEEN A PAUSE BECAUSE OF THAT, DUE TO A JUDICIAL RULING.

AND SO THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE.

SO RIGHT NOW THERE'S NOTHING IN THOSE TWO SECTIONS OTHER THAN THE MESSAGE THAT WE SEE HERE.

THE PART ON SECTION SEVEN IS PERFORMANCE CAMPUS PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES.

AND THE PURPOSE OF THIS SECTION IS TO MAKE SURE OUR CAMPUSES ARE FOLLOWING, ARE LOOKING AT IMPROVEMENT.

AND RIGHT NOW WE'RE LOOKING AT FOLLOWING OR TRYING TO MIMIC THE FIVE OUTCOME GOALS.

AND SO WE HAVE PROVIDED DATA BY CAMPUS OF THE FIVE GOALS AND WHERE EACH CAMPUS STANDS IN RELATIONSHIP TO THAT GOAL, AND THAT WE HAVE IT FOR THE PREVIOUS FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS. THE SECTION EIGHT IS ABOUT A REPORT ON CRIMINAL INCIDENTS AND STUDENT SAFETY.

WE HAVE INFORMATION ON THE 22-23 VIOLENT AND CRIMINAL INCIDENTS, AND WE HAVE REPORTED THAT THERE WERE 38 INCIDENTS IN 2022-23, WHICH COMPARED TO 39 IN 21-22.

WE ALSO HAVE THE INFORMATION OF IN OUR POLICIES ABOUT STUDENT SAFETY.

FFF IS ABOUT STUDENT SAFETY AND WELFARE, AND POLICIES OF FFI ARE ABOUT FREEDOM FROM BULLYING.

SO WE'RE SHOWING THAT WE HAVE POLICIES AROUND THOSE AREAS.

AND THEN THE LAST SECTION, WHICH IS SECTION NINE, IS ABOUT THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTIONS.

NINE A PROVIDES SEVERAL REPORTS FROM THE THE TEXAS HIGHER EDUCATION COORDINATING BOARD, WHICH SHOWS FOR THE CLASS OF 2020 WHERE THE KIDS ARE ON THEIR GPA AT THE DIFFERENT INSTITUTIONS BY CAMPUS.

SO THE CAMPUS WILL SHOW UP, AND THEN THEY'LL HAVE THE DIFFERENT INSTITUTIONS, AND THEY'LL HAVE THE GPA LISTED FOR AN AGGREGATE.

IT ALSO HAS THE FOR THE DISTRICT WHERE OUR KIDS ARE GOING INTO SEVERAL INSTITUTIONS AND NAMES IT.

AND FINALLY, IT HAS THAT BY CAMPUS WHERE OUR KIDS ARE GOING.

THE SECTION B IS OUR OWN INTERNAL ANNUAL REPORT THAT JUST A COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS, PULLING SOME OF THE DATA TOGETHER ABOUT OUR STUDENTS MEETING THE, YOU KNOW , SAT AND OTHER INFORMATION THERE, FOR THE 22-23 SCHOOL YEAR.

AND THOSE ARE ACTUALLY, I'M TALKING ABOUT HOUSTON ISD, AND THOSE ARE SELF-REPORTED RATINGS.

THOSE ARE THE ESTIMATES THAT THAT DISTRICT IS PROVIDING.

THOSE ARE NOT PROVIDED BY TEA, BECAUSE RIGHT NOW TEA HAS BEEN PRECLUDED FROM RELEASING THOSE RATINGS, AND SO I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT NO ONE THOUGHT WE HAD THOSE RATINGS AND THAT WE WEREN'T RELEASING THEM.

WE'RE ACTUALLY ALL, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT ARE IN PART OF THE LAWSUIT, WANT TO ENSURE THE INTEGRITY OF THE JUDGE'S RULING THAT NONE OF THOSE BE RELEASED? WE DO NOT HAVE THEM.

WE HAVE DATA, AND WE CAN DO OUR BEST TO EXTRAPOLATE SOME OF THAT.
