THE ANNUAL YMCA NATIONAL JUDICIAL COMPETITION IS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE JUDICIAL COMPONENT OF THE YMCA YOUTH AND GOVERNMENT PROGRAM.

THESE TWO TEAMS COMPETED IN MINNEAPOLIS AND WERE RECOGNIZED AS THE COUNTRY'S TOP TWO MOCK TEAMS.

SO WE ARE GOING TO BEGIN BY TALKING ABOUT THE LATEST DATA THAT OUR TEACHERS, STUDENTS, PARENTS, CAMPUS LEADERS REALLY SHOULD FEEL PROUD ABOUT.

I'M WAITING FOR OUR, THERE WE GO.

SO WE'LL HAVE A LOT MORE DISCUSSION ABOUT TEASING OUT AND DISAGGREGATING THE DATA.

SO TODAY'S REPORT IS JUST TO GIVE THE HIGHLIGHTS, BECAUSE I REALLY WANTED, AGAIN, OUR STUDENTS AND OUR TEACHERS TO SEE WHAT HAS BEEN THEIR WORK, AT LEAST IN SOME PART.

SO THE LATEST STAR TEST SHOWS STUDENTS WHOSE EARLY EDUCATION STARTED DURING OR WAS INTERRUPTED BY THE PANDEMIC ARE NOW AT OR ABOVE PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS IN ALMOST ALL CATEGORIES, WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS.

IN FACT, WE'RE CATCHING UP TO THE STATE SCORES ACROSS THE BOARD AND SCORING HIGHER THAN IN MANY OTHER NEIGHBORING SCHOOL SUBURBAN SCHOOL

DISTRICTS AND CHARTER SCHOOLS.

DALLAS ISD STUDENTS ARE CLOSING THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT GAP AND ARE EXCEEDING PRE-PANDEMIC STAR PERFORMANCES, PARTICULARLY IN AN AREA THAT THIS BOARD VALUES GREATLY.

AND THAT IS AT THE MEETS GRADE LEVEL.

THAT'S ONE OF OUR AREAS OF FOCUS IN OUR GOALS IN CATEGORY, IN READING, OVERALL READING AND MATH SCORES IN GRADES THREE THROUGH EIGHT SHOW GAINS IN 26 OF THE 36 POSSIBLE CATEGORIES IN APPROACHES, MEETS AND MASTERS WITH NO CHANGE IN FIVE OF THOSE CATEGORIES AND NEGLIGIBLE DECLINES IN THE REMAINING FOUR.

DALLAS ISD, STUDENTS NARROWED THE GAP WITH THE STATE IN MANY AREAS WITH BETTER COMPARATIVE GROWTH RATES AND APPROACHES AND MEETS PERFORMANCE LEVELS IN NEARLY ALL GRADES AND SUBJECTS.

CLEARLY, DALLAS ISD'S INVESTMENT IN EARLY LEARNING, PARTICULARLY THROUGH THE READING ACADEMIES, HAS BEEN PIVOTAL IN MITIGATING LEARNING LOSS IN READING.

OUR STUDENTS EITHER SHOWED GAINS OR HELD STEADY IN 11 OF THE 18 CATEGORIES COMPARED TO LAST YEAR.

STRONG MATH GAINS CONTINUE TO BE NOTEWORTHY, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE KNOW THAT THE MATH SCORES SEEM TO HAVE BEEN DELAYED COMPARED TO THE READING IMPROVEMENTS NOW FOR A SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR.

SO OF PARTICULAR NOTE FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS SAW THEIR STRONGEST GROWTH WITH A NINE POINT INCREASE OVER LAST YEAR AT THE MEETS PERFORMANCE LEVEL.

ADDITIONALLY, STUDENTS IN GRADES FOUR, SIX AND SEVEN EXCEEDED STATE GROWTH IN THE MASTER'S AREA.

WHAT MAKES THESE SCORES ALL THE MORE REMARKABLE IS THAT EVERYONE TRULY ANTICIPATED THAT THERE WOULD BE DIPS IN STAAR SCORES THIS YEAR DUE TO A NEW STAR REDESIGN.

THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN IN DALLAS ISD.

AND I WANT TO CONGRATULATE THE PEOPLE WHO DID ALL THE WORK TEACHERS, STUDENTS, PARENTS, ADMINISTRATORS, COMMUNITY PARTNERS, FROM THE CUSTODIANS TO THE COUNSELORS WHO ALL MADE THIS POSSIBLE.

SO IF WE TAKE JUST A MOMENT, THESE ARE THIS ONE IS A LARGE OVERVIEW OF THE THIRD THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE MATH.

AS I STATED, WE'LL HAVE A LOT MORE CONVERSATION BOARD MEMBERS INDIVIDUALLY, BUT AS AN EXAMPLE, IN THIRD THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE MATH, COLLECTIVELY, WE ARE NOW ONLY ONE POINT AWAY FROM THE MEATS AND MORE OR MEATS PLUS FROM WHERE WE WERE IN 2022, THE STATE IS NOW AT 42% AT MEATS OR ABOVE, AND DALLAS ISD STUDENTS ARE AT 41%. CATEGORY IN THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDENT POPULATION GROUP.

WE ARE NOW ABOVE THE STATE IN THE MEETS AND ABOVE CATEGORY.

WE WERE BEHIND THE STATE IN 2022 BY THREE POINTS.

WE ARE NOW ONE POINT ABOVE THE STATE AT 27%, WITH ALSO AN INCREASE IN THE PASS RATE OF APPROACHES . IN OUR EMERGENT BILINGUAL ENGLISH LEARNERS WE ARE ALSO ABOVE THE STATE AND IN THIS PARTICULAR CATEGORY WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR MEETS PLUS DALLAS ISD IS AT 41%, WHICH INCLUDES MEETS AND MASTERS, WHEREAS THE STATE IS AT 32%, MEETS IN MASTERS.

WE'RE NINE PERCENTAGE POINTS ABOVE THE STATE.

AND LASTLY, IN A GROUP THAT ENCOMPASSES MANY OF OUR OTHER STUDENT GROUPS ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED WITH THE OF WHICH THE STATE IS 60% ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED IN DALLAS ISD ROUGHLY REPRESENTS AND SERVES ABOUT 86% ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS. WE ARE ALSO ABOVE THE STATE WITH REGARD TO EDUCATING STUDENTS THAT ARE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED.

AT THE MEETS AND ABOVE, THE STATE IS AT 32%.

AND DALLAS ISD STUDENTS ARE AT 38%.

SO WHILE THERE ARE CERTAINLY AREAS IN WHICH WE NEED TO GROW, WE ALSO THINK IT'S IMPORTANT TO TAKE A MOMENT TO JUST REALLY CALL OUT THE WORK THAT EVERYONE HAS DONE.

IN MANY OF THESE AREAS.

WE ARE NOW ABOVE AT OR ABOVE PRE-PANDEMIC ERA AND WE NOW CAN SEE AND EXPECT WITH THE IMPROVEMENTS

THAT WE'VE MADE FOR THIS NEXT SCHOOL YEAR, WE ANTICIPATE DOUBLE DIGIT GAINS AND MORE CLOSURES OF THE GAP AS WE MOVE ON.

AND WE HAVE A BIRTHDAY TO CELEBRATE OUR VERY OWN DISTRICT FIVE BOARD OF TRUSTEE MAXI JOHNSON IS I BELIEVE YOU TURNED 21, SIR.

SO WE WANT TO CONGRATULATE TRUSTEE JOHNSON.

SO WE'RE OFF TO A GREAT START.

WE WERE REALLY OFF TO A GREAT START.

WE HAVE HAD AN EXCEPTIONALLY SUCCESSFUL START TO THE SCHOOL YEAR, AND I KNOW THERE ARE A HANDFUL OF INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY NOT HAVE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK THROUGH THOSE.

BUT FOR THIS MOMENT, I DID WANT TO STAY FOCUSED ON THE MORE THAN 95% OF THE EXPERIENCES.

I'M BEGINNING MY 37TH SCHOOL YEAR IN EDUCATION, AND I TOO WAS 12 WHEN I STARTED IN THIS BUSINESS.

I STARTED TEACHING BACK WHEN CHILD LABOR LAWS WEREN'T SO STRICT.

SO I ACTUALLY REMEMBER THINKING AS A MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILD THAT I COULD TEACH HIGH SCHOOL BECAUSE I'VE PLAYED SCHOOL SINCE I COULD REMEMBER.

SO I THINK I WAS 12 FOR SURE WHEN I STARTED TEACHING, AND I THINK I CONVINCED THEM I SHOULD TEACH BECAUSE I GRADED MYSELF ON A 10TH GRADE READING LEVEL.

SO LET ME TELL YOU WHAT A NORMAL SCHOOL YEAR LOOKS LIKE.

WE KNOW AND WE KNOW THERE ARE SOME POCKETS, BUT OVERWHELMINGLY, OUR TEAMS HAVE JUST BEEN RELENTLESS IN WORKING ON THOSE AC UNITS IN OUR CLASSROOMS AND ADJUSTING AND BRINGING IN PORTABLE UNITS WHEN NECESSARY.

AND SO I DEFINITELY WANT TO CALL OUT DAVID CHIEF DAVID BATES AND HIS TEAM, WHO JUST STAYED 24/SEVEN ON THOSE CHILLERS WITH THIS JUST UNRELENTING HEAT THAT EVERYONE IS FEELING.

WE ALSO KNOW THAT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR, WE GET KIDS THAT GET ON THE WRONG BUS AND GET DROPPED OFF AT THE WRONG LOCATION.

THOSE HAVE BEEN MINIMIZED.

AND IN MANY INSTANCES, WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF CLASSROOMS WITHOUT TEACHERS AND WE HAVE FAMILIES SPENDING A LOT OF TIME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO REGISTER.

THAT GENERATES A LOT OF TEARS AND NOT ALWAYS FROM KIDS.

SOMETIMES IT'S ALSO FROM THE PARENTS AND SOMETIMES IT'S FROM ME, DEPENDING ON HOW THE YEAR STARTED.

BUT ON THIS FIRST DAY IN DALLAS ISD, ALL THOSE CHIEFS AND I WENT TO DIFFERENT SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE.

AND THAT'S NOT WHAT WE SAW.

WE SAW VERY FEW CHILDREN CRYING.

WE SAW VERY FEW TRANSPORTATION CHALLENGES.

WE SAW AIR CONDITIONING WORKING IN MOST ALMOST EVERY SINGLE CLASSROOM.

AND WE HAD A MAJORITY OF OUR FAMILIES WHO WERE REGISTERED WITH KIDS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS STARTING INSTRUCTION ON DAY ONE.

IN FACT, I THINK THE ONLY PLACE WE SAW AN AUDITORIUM FILLED WAS WITH PARENTS REGISTERING THEIR KIDS BECAUSE WE DID HAD A LONG A LARGE INFLUX OF CHARTER SCHOOL FAMILIES THAT WERE RELOCATING THEIR CHILDREN BACK HOME TO DALLAS ISD.

I CAN SAFELY SAY THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST STARTS TO A SCHOOL YEAR THAT I CAN RECALL, AND THAT IS TO EVERY ONE OF THE TEAM WHO WORKED TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN.

SO HERE'S A GOOD DATA POINT ABOUT HOW SUCCESSFUL BACK TO SCHOOL WAS.

WE STARTED THE YEAR WITH ONLY 70 TEACHER VACANCIES, THANKS TO THE HEROIC WORK OF HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF NONE OTHER THAN CHIEF ROBERT ABEL.

I'M NOT SURE EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS WHAT IT TAKES TO PUT ON JOB FAIRS, TO GO THROUGH APPLICATIONS, TO CALL, TO VISIT, TO CONNECT.

AND SO I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO THANK CHIEF ROBERT ABEL AND THE HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR SETTING THIS RECORD NUMBER OF LOW VACANCIES. OUR GOAL.

YES. THANK YOU.

OUR GOAL IS FOR EVERY SINGLE STUDENT TO HAVE A TEACHER IN THEIR CLASSROOM, AND WE'RE NEARLY THERE.

HERE'S ANOTHER DATA POINT.

DALLAS ISD HAS STARTED SCHOOL AT OVER 99%, FILLED ON DAY ONE FOR TWO YEARS IN A ROW NOW.

THAT'S THE ONLY TIME WE'VE DONE THAT AS FAR BACK AS WE'VE BEEN KEEPING RECORDS.

HAVING ONLY 70 TEACHER VACANCIES DOESN'T JUST GET US BACK TO PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS.

THIS IS THE BEST WE'VE EVER DONE.

AND NOT JUST BY A LITTLE.

FOR THE FOUR YEARS PRIOR TO THE PANDEMIC, WE AVERAGED 141 FIRST DAY VACANCIES.

SO FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS, THAT AVERAGE IS NOW 74.

THAT'S A 47% REDUCTION IN THOSE TEACHER VACANCIES.

OUR HIGH SCHOOL WINNER IS ANA MARIE SIFFORD, WHO GRADUATED FROM BOOKER T WASHINGTON, HAS A BA FROM SMU AND TWO MASTER'S DEGREES.

BEFORE SHE TRANSITIONED TO TEACHING, SHE WORKED FOR THE UNITED NATIONS.

NOW AT HILLCREST HIGH SCHOOL, SHE SPONSORS THE HILLCREST HIGH SCHOOL'S JUNIOR WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL.

SHE IS BOTH A DISTINGUISHED TEACHER IN DALLAS ISD AND A RECOGNIZED TEACHER IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

ALSO, WE'D LIKE TO THANK BIBLE WAY TABERNACLE FOR THE GENEROUS GIFT OF $2,500 TO RICHARD LEGGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE MONEY WILL BE USED FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHER INCENTIVES AND ADDITIONAL UNIFORMS. ASHLEY CRUZ, ONE OF OUR SOPHOMORES AT SUNSET HIGH SCHOOL, WAS ONE OF SIX DALLAS ISD STUDENTS TO WIN A $3,000 SCHOLARSHIP FROM THIS.

EXCELLENT WORK ASHLEY.

SECOND, I'D LIKE TO HIGHLIGHT ANSON JONES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, THE FIRST DALLAS ISD SCHOOL, DALLAS ISD SCHOOL TO PILOT THE NEW CURRICULUM PROGRAMS, AND THEY STARTED THREE YEARS AGO THIS SCHOOL YEAR.

OVER THE PAST YEAR, EDUCATION WEEK HAS REPORTED ON RESEARCH COMPLETED, ANALYZING INCENTIVE PAY FOR TEACHERS REPORT PRESENT FINDINGS FROM 20 YEARS OF INCENTIVE PROGRAMS. IN A NUTSHELL, PAYING INCENTIVES CAN GET TEACHERS TO COME TO A CAMPUS.

PAY FOR PERFORMANCE DOES NOT ATTRACT TEACHERS, BUT CAN WEED OUT INEFFECTIVE TEACHERS SOMETIMES.

OVERALL, THERE'S BEEN GROWTH IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT WITH EFFECTIVE TEACHERS, BUT WHEN COMPARISONS ARE MADE BETWEEN CAMPUSES WHO RECEIVE INCENTIVE PAY AND THOSE WHO DO NOT RECEIVE INCENTIVE PAY, THERE IS NO DIFFERENTIAL IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.

IN ESSENCE, INCENTIVE PAY DOES NOT ENSURE INCREASED TO STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.

IN OUR DISTRICT AND MAY EVEN BE A DETERRENT IF A CAMPUS MOVES OUT OF A LOW PERFORMING DESIGNATION WHICH ANOTHER EDUCATION WEEK ARTICLE SPOTLIGHTED DALLAS.

THE STIPENDS GO AWAY, AND SO DO THE EXPERIENCED TEACHERS WHO COME FOR THE MONEY.

AS THE ARTICLE REPORTED, THOSE CAMPUSES RETURNED TO LOW PERFORMING STATUS.

WE NEED TO CHANGE HOW WE COMPENSATE OUR TEACHERS.

WE ARE PENALIZING HIGH PERFORMING TEACHERS AND CAMPUSES TO INCENTIVIZE LOW STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.

WHAT INCENTIVE DOES A TEACHER ON AN HPC CAMPUS REALLY HAVE TO MOVE STUDENTS ON UP WHEN THEY WILL LOSE THEIR STIPENDS? AND TO BE CLEAR, ALL THE TEACHERS WORK AS HARD AS THEY KNOW HOW, HBC OR NOT.

THE ECONOMIC POLICY INSTITUTE HAVE REPORTED OVER THE LAST DECADE ON THE DECLINE OF PROFESSIONALS ENTERING THE EDUCATION, PREDICTING SHORTFALLS BY 2024 THAT HAVE BECOME A REALITY. THE TRENDS REPORTED BY THESE ORGANIZATIONS ARE PREDICTED THAT BY 2030 WE WILL EXPERIENCE UP TO A 50% SHORTAGE OF TEACHERS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCING 90 TO 100% SHORTAGES OF TEACHERS.

OUR DISTRICT MUST START DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY TO RECRUIT AND RETAIN TEACHERS.

I KNOW EVERYONE IS PROUD OF THE THOUSANDS OF APPLICATIONS THAT CAME IN THIS YEAR, BUT WE STILL HAVE SHORTAGES AND MANY OF THOSE TEACHERS HAVE COME FOR THE HUGE STIPENDS THAT WERE PROMOTED. AND THOSE TEACHERS COMING FOR THE MONEY, AS ONE SAID, ARE HERE FOR AS LONG AS THE STIPENDS LAST.

ONCE THE MONEY RUNS OUT, SO WILL THEY.

IF WE WANT TO RETAIN TEACHERS, WE MUST ELIMINATE THE PAY FOR PERFORMANCE THAT DOES NOT RECRUIT OR RETAIN TEACHERS AND IS ESTABLISHED A CULTURE OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES.

WE MUST CHANGE THE WAY WE PAY STIPENDS FOR INCENTIVES AND YES, PAY THE TIA MONEY TO THE PEOPLE WHO EARNED IT AND INTEGRITY SAYS PAY BACK WHAT WAS STOLEN FROM THEM.

WE NEED TO BE LEADERS IN HOW EDUCATION IS DONE AND HOW TEACHERS ARE COMPENSATED.

WE SHOULD NOT HAVE COMPENSATION SYSTEMS THAT BAFFLE YOUR TEACHERS AND REASONABLE PROFESSIONALS IN THE COMMUNITY.

BEFORE MY DAUGHTER'S INITIAL EVALUATION, I WAS TOLD SHE SHOULD BE IN A SPECIAL EDUCATION CLASSROOM.

I BELIEVE SHE'D FIND MORE SUCCESS IN A GENERAL EDUCATION SETTING AND WAS TOLD THAT PERHAPS I WAS HAVING A HARD TIME ADJUSTING TO MY DAUGHTER'S DIAGNOSIS.

NOT ONLY WAS THAT TACTLESS AND SHOULD NEVER BE SAID TO ANY PARENT OF A CHILD WITH A WITH A SPECIAL NEED, I AM VERY MUCH NOT BLIND TO MY CHILD'S DIAGNOSIS.

I HAVE HEARD FROM MULTIPLE INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT MY RESEARCH ABOUT THE REASSIGNMENT OF NEEDED SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS FOR THINGS SUCH AS SUBSTITUTES.

I SAW A DALLAS MORNING NEWS STORY ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO TOUTING THE CELEBRATION OF FEWER TEACHER VACANCIES.

BUT WHEN YOU CLICKED ON THE STORY, YOU SOON REALIZED THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE OPEN POSITIONS ARE HARD TO STAFF AREAS LIKE SPECIAL EDUCATION, MATH AND BILINGUAL CLASSES.

THIS MEANT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CARNEGIE LEARNING, WHICH GIVES US LESSON PLANS, ASSIGNMENTS, ASSESSMENTS AND MORE.

AND WE'VE BEEN TOLD WE NEED TO IMPLEMENT THE CARNEGIE LESSONS WITH FIDELITY AND SHOULDN'T EVER BE MORE THAN A COUPLE OF DAYS BEHIND THE CARNEGIE PACING.

IMPLEMENTING THE LESSONS WITH FIDELITY PROVED TO BE A CHALLENGE WHEN THE FIRST DAY'S LESSON CALLED FOR THE STUDENTS TO USE A PROTRACTOR IN MY CLASSROOM HAS NO PROTRACTORS.

THE NEXT LESSON CALLED FOR STUDENTS TO LEARN HOW TO USE A COMPASS, AND MY CLASSROOM HAS NO COMPASSES.

THE FOLLOWING FEW LESSONS CONTINUE TO MAKE USE OF THESE MATERIALS, BUT MY STUDENTS COULDN'T.

WE'RE SUPPOSED TO SUPPLEMENT OUR LESSONS BY HAVING STUDENTS WORK WITH AN ONLINE PROGRAM CALLED MATHEA.

BUT MY SCHOOL HASN'T RECEIVED ENOUGH COMPUTERS FROM THE DISTRICT YET.

BUT I'M NOT HERE TO RAIL AGAINST CARNEGIE OR THE IDEA OF GIVING US PRE-MADE LESSONS.

I DO HAVE SOME ISSUES WITH THE CURRICULUM AND IT CAN FEEL RESTRICTIVE, BUT I KNOW THAT NO CURRICULUM IS GOING TO BE PERFECT, AND I KNOW THAT NO NEW ROLLOUT OF A NEW INITIATIVE WILL BE PERFECT. I'M HERE IN HOPES OF HEADING OFF WHAT I SEE AS A POTENTIAL FRUSTRATION DOWN THE ROAD.

WHEN THERE ARE ISSUES WITH THE ROLLOUT, BOTH LOGISTICAL AND JUST IN THE FORM OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ADJUSTING, IT CAN IMPACT THE RESULTS OF THE INITIATIVE, AT LEAST PROBABLY IN THE FIRST YEAR, WHICH AGAIN IS PREDICTABLE AND NOT THE END OF THE WORLD.

EARLIER THIS WEEK, MY DEPARTMENT GOT TO SPEAK WITH THE CARNEGIE REP ASSIGNED TO OUR SCHOOL.

SHE WAS NICE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

WHEN ONE OF MY COLLEAGUES WAS LAYING OUT TO HER THE CRITIQUES HE HAD WITH THE CURRICULUM AND HOW HIS STUDENTS WERE RESPONDING.

SHE TOLD HIM IT WOULD JUST TAKE TIME AS WE RETRAINED THE KIDS ON HOW TO THINK AND DISCOVER, HE SAID SOMETHING LIKE, YEAH, THAT SOUNDS GREAT, BUT MY PAY IS BASED ON THEIR TEST SCORES NOW.

WHEN THE SUPERINTENDENT ANNOUNCED THAT TEACHING TO THE TEST WAS OVER, I WAS EXCITED, THINKING WE MUST BE TRANSITIONING TO A FAIR AND EQUITABLE EVALUATION SYSTEM.

BUT NO, OUR PAY IS STILL BASED ON TEST SCORES.

WE'RE JUST TOLD NOT TO THINK ABOUT THAT ANYMORE I GUESS.

I ALSO TRULY BELIEVE THAT THE CARNEGIE CURRICULUM WAS SENT TO HELP US.

WE ALREADY HAVE AN ADMINISTRATOR THAT DON'T EVEN COME IN AND SUPPORT THE KIDS AT THE SCHOOL, AT THE GAMES.

THIS IS THE FIRST ADMINISTRATOR IN CARTER'S HISTORY THAT DON'T SHOW UP AT THE AT THE KIDS GAMES, VOLLEYBALL, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, NONE OF THAT.

SHE WENT FROM ALGEBRA ONE TO ALGEBRA TWO.

I SAID, NO, SWEETHEART, THAT'S NOT HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO GO.

YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN GEOMETRY.

BUT SHE WAS SHE WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOT ANY SPACE FOR THE GEOMETRY CLASS.

I JUST FEEL LIKE WE'RE DOING THEM A FAVOR AND THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER PARTNERSHIP IF THEY HAD SAID WE'RE GOING TO PROVIDE A BUILDING FOR YOU TO ENTER INTO TO COME IN AND TEACH STUDENTS, WHETHER IT'S MONTESSORI OR WHAT HAVE YOU.
