THERE WE GO. I WANT TO START FIRST BY MAKING SURE THAT I ASK EVERYONE WHILE YOU SEE THIS FANTASTIC TEACHER, I ADVISE AGAINST STANDING ON DESKS.

HOWEVER, SHE'S QUITE CAPABLE OF DOING SO.

THIS IS A THIRD-GRADE GENED MATH TEACHER, MONIQUE JACKSON.

SHE IS CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE IN HER APPROACH TO MATH WHILE SHE ALSO INTEGRATES SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND MINDFULNESS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

SHE HAS A LOVING, CARING, AND COMPASSIONATE HEART FOR OUR STUDENTS, AND SHE HOLDS HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL OF THEM.

ALL OF HER STUDENTS COMMIT TO DAILY GOALS, AND THAT'S WHAT DRIVES THE COLLECTIVE GROWTH MINDSET OF HER CLASS.

THEY HAVE SO MUCH FUN THAT WHEN YOU ASK THEM, THEY SAY, OH YEAH, I THINK WE DID SOME MATH TODAY.

WE'RE THANKFUL TO HAVE THIS REPRESENTATIVE OF SO MANY OF OUR EXCELLENT TEACHERS SO THANK YOU FOR THAT OPPORTUNITY.

AS I MOVE FORWARD EACH QUARTER, WE PRESENT IN CLOSED SESSION FINDINGS OF SOME OF OUR SAFETY AUDITS SO AS NOT TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO ANY VULNERABILITIES OR THINGS THAT WE HAVE DISCOVERED HOWEVER, I THINK THE TIME WAS ALSO APPROPRIATE FOR US TO BRING TO YOU AN UPDATE OF MANY OF THE SAFETY STANDARDS OF SERVICE THAT YOU ALL HAVE EXPECTED AND THAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON IN THOSE AREAS THAT WE HAVE ALREADY CREATED SOME IMPROVEMENTS ON.

IT IS INTERESTING TO FIND THAT WITH SO MUCH POLARITY IN OUR SOCIETY, THERE'S ONE AREA THAT HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE OF UNANIMOUS, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT IDENTIFIED BY THE LARGEST PERCENTAGE OF TEXANS, AND THAT HAS BEEN SCHOOL SAFETY.

WITH SCHOOL SAFETY, LET ME BEGIN BY TALKING ABOUT SOME OF THESE ENHANCEMENTS.

ABOUT 97% OF OUR CAMPUSES ARE NOW EQUIPPED WITH INTERCOMS AND DOOR BUZZER SYSTEMS. THE REMAINING 3% ARE STILL UTILIZING MANPOWER OR WOMANPOWER TO ENSURE THAT WE CAN ID ALL VISITORS THAT ENTER OUR FACILITIES.

AS WE COMPLETE BOND WORK AND RENOVATIONS, WE'RE CONTINUING TO HAVE SECURE ENTRYWAYS THAT ARE ADDED SO THAT ULTIMATELY WE CAN HAVE EVERY SCHOOL WITH THOSE SECURE VESTIBULES SO THAT NO ONE CAN GET IN WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION.

WE'RE ALSO UPGRADING CAMERAS, KEY CARD READERS, AND FENCING, AND EVEN ADDING BULLET-RESISTANT FILM TO GLASS ON ENTRYWAYS THAT FACE OUT TO MAJOR THOROUGHFARES AND STREETS.

NEXT, WE HAVE METAL DETECTORS.

OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS, THIS BOARD HAS APPROVED BUDGETS THAT HAVE ALLOWED US TO ADD AROUND 400 NEW UPDATED METAL DETECTORS AT SECONDARY CAMPUSES, AS WELL AS PLACES LIKE OUR ATHLETIC COMPLEXES.

WE ALSO HAVE HANDHELD ONES AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS AND WE HAVE ADDITIONAL RADIOS THAT HAVE ALSO BEEN PURCHASED.

WHEN WE THINK ABOUT EXTERIOR DOOR AUDITS, YOU MAY THINK ABOUT THE TEXAS SCHOOL SAFETY CENTER INTRUDER DETECTION AUDITS THAT WE DISCUSSED WITH YOU IN CLOSED SESSION, BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT ANYONE VISITING OUR CAMPUSES WHO DOESN'T HAVE AN ID BADGE HAS TO GO THROUGH A RAPTOR CHECK-IN SYSTEM EVEN IF THEY WORK FOR US, WHICH IS ALSO WHY IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT I CARRY MY BADGE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE RAPTOR SYSTEM BECAUSE IT DOES TAKE TIME.

THIS APPLIES TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON. WE ALSO STILL HAVE CONCERNS REGARDING SOME OF OUR FACILITIES THAT ARE NOT PART OF THE MAIN BUILDING.

WE HAVE TO CONTINUE TO BE COMMITTED TO REMOVING PORTABLES AS SOON AS WE CAN OBTAIN ENOUGH ROOM IN THE MAIN BUILDINGS.

WE'RE DOING THAT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

WE STILL HAVE PORTABLES TO GO.

WHERE WE DO HAVE PORTABLES THAT ARE STILL NEEDED, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THOSE EXTERIOR DOORS ARE ALWAYS LOCKED.

IN ADDITION, WE HAVE TO HAVE PROCESSES SO THAT STUDENTS ARE SUPERVISED GOING TO AND FROM THOSE BUILDINGS.

WHILE INTERIOR CLASSROOM DOORS SHOULD REMAIN OPEN DURING INSTRUCTION, THEY SHOULD BE LOCKED FOR QUICK SECURING IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.

ALL OF THOSE DOORS NOW HAVE QUICK LOCKS ON THE INSIDE OF EACH OF THOSE CLASSROOMS. THIS LEADS ME THEN TO TRAINING.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY.

OUR STANDARD RESPONSE PROTOCOL TRAINING PREPARES US ON

HOW TO REACT DURING SPECIFIC EMERGENCIES.

THE I LOVE YOU GUYS FOUNDATION PROVIDES FREE RESOURCES TO REMIND STAFF AND STUDENTS HAVE THE CORRECT PROCEDURES.

CAMPUS SAFETY COORDINATORS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF KEEPING CAMPUSES SAFE AS THEY LEAD THE WORK AT THEIR CAMPUSES.

WE ALSO KNOW THAT WE HAVE SECURITY OFFICERS.

WE KNOW THAT STAFFING IS CRITICAL AND VERY IMPORTANT.

DURING A RECENT REVIEW OF THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TEAM, WE DETERMINED THAT IN FACT, WE NEED MORE STAFF TO DO THIS WORK.

DURING THIS REVIEW, WE'VE ALSO DECIDED TO TRANSITION CAMPUS MONITORS AND PROVIDE THEM THE TRAINING AT OUR COST TO BECOME SECURITY OFFICERS AND ARE IMPLEMENTING THAT INTENSE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE '23, '24 SCHOOL YEAR.

THAT WILL INCLUDE THAT DE-ESCALATION OF TRAINING, RESTRAINT TRAINING, PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS, RESTORATIVE PRACTICES, AND CLARITY AROUND THEIR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

AT THE SECONDARY LEVEL, OF COURSE, WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE WITH OUR CLEAR AND MESH BACKPACKS AND ALL CAMPUSES HAVE TO DO TO EMERGENCY DRILLS EACH SEMESTER THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR.

WE ALSO HAVE SAFETY RESOURCES THAT ARE THERE TO ENSURE OUR STUDENTS GET HELP WHEN THEY NEED HELP.

WHETHER IT'S OUR DISTRICT WIDE THREAT ASSESSMENT TEAM, WHICH EACH CAMPUS CONVENES ONE STUDENTS MAY FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY.

WE HAVE A CONTINUUM OF SERVICES AND A PROCESS TO BEGIN WITH THAT RISK ASSESSMENT TO PROVIDE THE SUPPORTS AND SERVICES THAT OUR STUDENTS NEED, INCLUDING A SAFETY PLAN OR REFERRALS FOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES THROUGH OUR YOUTH AND FAMILY CENTERS.

ALL OUR CAMPUS-BASED CLINICIANS, ONCE AGAIN, THIS BOARD ADOPTED A BUDGET LAST YEAR THAT ALLOWED US TO CONTINUE TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS IN OUR DISTRICT.

PARENTS ARE CRITICAL IN SCHOOL SAFETY AS WELL.

THE DISTRICT PARTICIPATES IN B SMART CAMPAIGN, WHICH IS TO DRIVE HOME THE IMPORTANCE OF ENSURING THAT IF YOU DO OWN A GUN, THAT IT IS LOCKED AND SECURED AWAY FROM CHILDREN.

OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT IS ALSO INSTRUMENTAL IN THIS WORK BY PROVIDING GUN LOCKS FOR PARENTS FREE OF CHARGE WHO MAY NEED THEM.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE RECOGNIZE THAT THIS IS WORK THAT ALL OF US MUST DO IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO CONTINUE TO KEEP OUR STUDENTS SAFE.

WE ALSO HAVE AN ANONYMOUS PLATFORM FOR REPORTING.

WE'VE ALSO EMBARKED ON THE SANDY HOOK PROMISE, WHICH PROVIDE TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO HELP STUDENT CLUBS PLAN EVENTS, ACTIVITIES, AND PROJECTS THAT CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON KINDNESS, INCLUSIVENESS, AND THE VALUE OF LOOKING AND CARING FOR ONE ANOTHER.

OF COURSE, OUR STUDENTS HAVE BEEN SOME OF THE BEST ADVOCATES FOR SAFETY IN COMMUNICATING TO US VULNERABILITIES.

WE ENCOURAGE OUR STUDENTS TO CONTINUE TO SAY SOMETHING WHEN THEY SEE SOMETHING.

I BELIEVE THAT THE END OF THE SECTION ON SAFETY.

A NEXT AREA THAT I WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT, I THINK WE'VE GOT THE NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE.

WE WILL BE HOSTING AN EVENT IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CITY OF DALLAS AND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, ALONG WITH OUR OWN POLICE DEPARTMENT AND OUR OWN SUPPORT STAFF.

WE WANT TO PROVIDE INFORMATION AND RESOURCES.

THIS START SATURDAY, APRIL 22ND, TOWN VIEW CENTER.

THIS IS REALLY A COLLABORATION FOR EVERYONE.

THIS WILL PROVIDE LOTS OF ASSISTANCE TO PARENTS WITH WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK.

WE RECOGNIZE THAT STUDENTS THAT HAVE BEEN AFFECTED DID NOT INTEND TO HARM THEMSELVES.

THEY THINK THEY'RE GETTING SOMETHING FROM A FRIEND.

FENTANYL IS SO PREVALENT THROUGHOUT OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY AND WE CANNOT EMPHASIZE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS THAT WE CONTINUE TO TELL OUR STUDENTS THAT ONLY FROM THEIR PARENTS SHOULD THEY BE TAKING ANY MEDICATION.

THE CONRAD ROBO CHARGERS ROBOTICS TEAM CLAIMED THE UIL ROBOTIC STATE CHAMPION TITLE, DEFEATING THE 80 HIGHEST RANKED TEAMS IN TEXAS.

THE ROBO CHARGERS STARTED THE TOURNAMENT SLOWLY, MIND YOU, WITH AN 84 RECORD, BEFORE SECURING THE DIVISION WIN WITH A 10 MATCH WINNING STREAK AND WINNING AT ALL, GOING UNDEFEATED IN THE DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT.

NEXT UP LITERALLY IS THE WORLD.

THIS WEEK THEY'RE TRAVELING TO HOUSTON TO COMPETE IN THE ROBOTICS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

ABSOLUTELY. [APPLAUSE] [LAUGHTER] COMMENDATION FOR ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM.

WE KNOW THAT ALMOST 50% OF NEW TEACHERS TO THE CAREER OF TEACHING ARE COMING FROM NON-TRADITIONAL CERTIFIED PROGRAMS. DALLAS ISD REINVENTED THE ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM.

WE ALL KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS THAT WE HAVE BLACK AND LATINO STUDENTS TO LOOK UP AT THE FRONT OF A CLASSROOM AND TO SEE A BLACK OR LATINO TEACHER.

BUT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS THAT WE WERE ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THAT SUCCESS.

IN 2017, THE INSTITUTE OF LABOR ECONOMICS FOUND THAT LOW INCOME BLACK STUDENTS WHO HAVE A BLACK TEACHER, MAN OR WOMAN, FOR EVEN JUST ONE YEAR IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ARE MORE LIKELY TO CONSIDER COLLEGE.

BUT ONLY 7% OF TEACHERS NATIONWIDE ARE BLACK AND 2% ARE BLACK MEN.

THAT'S WHY DALLAS ISD IS ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM IS SO IMPORTANT.

RECENTLY, THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION RECOGNIZE THIS PROGRAM WITH ITS '21, '22 EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAM COMMENDATION IN CATEGORY 2, WHICH WAS PREPARING THE EDUCATORS TEXAS NEEDS.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DALLAS ISD TEACHER RESIDENCY PROGRAM, THE ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM HAS INCREASED THE NUMBER OF BLACK AND LATINO MALE EDUCATORS BY DOING A GREAT JOB GETTING THEM THROUGH THE PROCESS AND INTO CLASSROOMS WHERE THOUSANDS OF LITTLE BOYS CAN LOOK UP TO THE FRONT OF THE CLASSROOM AND SEE THOSE SUCCESS STORIES RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF THEM.

I'D LIKE TO THANK AND CONGRATULATE OUR HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT TEAM UNDER CHIEF ROBERT ABEL FOR THAT COMMENDATION AND I WOULD LIKE TO SHOUT OUT DR. CYNTHIA WILSON WHO STARTED AND REVIVED OUR ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM.

WE CONTINUE TO HAVE HUGE OPPORTUNITY GAPS THROUGHOUT OUR CITY.

WE'VE GOT TO DO MORE AND WE'VE GOT TO DO IT FASTER.

WE HAVE MULTIPLE REPORTS OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED EDUCATORS APPLYING FOR TWO MULTIPLE OPEN POSITIONS AND NOT RECEIVING A RESPONSE BACK.

A NUMBER OF THESE EMPLOYEES ARE STARTING TO APPLY FOR POSITIONS OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT.

THE ISD CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE THOSE SOUGHT AFTER EDUCATORS AND NEEDS TO PROVIDE A BETTER FEEDBACK TRANSPARENCY PROCESS FOR THOSE LOOKING TO A TRANSFER WITHIN THE DISTRICT.

IF NOT, WE WILL SEE THEM TRANSFER OUT OF THE DISTRICT.

ALLIANCES, RESPECT, EQUITY, DIGNITY, OR RED CAMPAIGN PROVIDES THE DISTRICT WITH A VERY REASONABLE LIST OF WAYS THEY CAN IMPROVE WORKING CONDITIONS FOR TEACHERS AND STAFF.

REMEMBER, OUR WORKING TO CONDITIONS ARE OUR STUDENTS LEARNING CONDITIONS.

ONE ITEM ON OUR LIST, AS FAR AS GEORGE MENTIONED, IS FOR THE DISTRICT TO CREATE A CLEAR METHOD FOR HOLDING ADMINISTRATORS ACCOUNTABLE WHO BREAK THE LAW.

PARTICULARLY REGARDING GIVING ALL TEACHERS THE LEGALLY REQUIRED MINIMUM PLANNING TIME AND ALL TEACHERS AND STAFF, THE LEGALLY REQUIRED 30 MINUTE DUTY FREE LUNCH.

TO REITERATE, ADMINS ARE NOT JUST DISOBEYING SOME DISTRICT POLICY WHEN THEY IMPOSE ON US DURING OUR PLANNING TIME, THEY ARE LITERALLY DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL.

THE DISTRICT NEEDS TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY AND BE SURE THEIR ADMINS TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

IF AN ADMIN IS REPORTED TO BE INFRINGING ON A TEACHER'S PLANNING TIME OR SOMEONE'S DUTY FREE LUNCH, WHAT WILL BE THE CONSEQUENCE? MAYBE A WARNING THE FIRST-TIME.

FINE. WHAT ABOUT THE SECOND TIME? THE THIRD TIME? HOW MANY STRIKES DO THEY GET? THIS NEEDS TO BE LAID OUT IN A DISTRICT POLICY AND CLEARLY CONVEYED TO ADMINISTRATORS AND TEACHERS, AND THEN THAT POLICY NEEDS TO BE IMPLEMENTED WITH FIDELITY.

IN ADDITION, ALL TEACHERS AND STAFF NEED TO BE NOT JUST INFORMED OF HOW TO REPORT SUCH ABUSE, BUT ALSO ENCOURAGED TO DO SO.

THE DISTRICT MUST FIND A WAY TO MAKE TEACHERS TRUST THAT THEIR IDENTITY WILL BE KEPT SECRET FROM THEIR ADMIN SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO FEAR RETALIATION.

ADMINISTRATORS SHOULD ALSO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR HOW THEY TREAT THEIR STAFF BEYOND JUST THE LEGAL MINIMUMS. THE CLIMATE SURVEY CAN ONLY DO THIS TO A LIMITED EXTENT.

THAT'S NOT EVEN COUNTING HOW SOME ADMIN TRIED TO MANIPULATE AND LIE TO STUFF ABOUT CONSEQUENCES THEY MIGHT FACE IF THE CLIMATE SURVEY RESULTS AREN'T GOOD.

THE PEI AND API SHOULD INCLUDE A COMPONENT OF A TEACHER AND STAFF SURVEY WHERE WE CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR EVALUATOR.

RIGHT NOW, MANY TEACHERS HAVE AN ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL AS AN EVALUATOR AND CLIMATE SURVEYS ONLY ASK YOU ABOUT YOUR PRINCIPAL.

AN ALLIANCE UNION BROTHER ORIGINALLY CAME UP WITH THIS IDEA AND IT'S REALLY STUCK WITH ME.

TEACHERS AND STAFF TASK FORCE COULD BE ASSEMBLED, PICKED BY THE UNIONS IN DALLAS ISD TO COME UP WITH THESE QUESTIONS FOR THE SURVEY.

FOR EXAMPLE, DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU EVALUATOR RESPECT YOU? DO YOU FIND YOUR EVALUATOR'S FEEDBACK USEFUL? DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE EVALUATOR LISTENS TO YOU? IN A CONFLICT WITH A STUDENT OR PARENT, DO YOU TRUST THAT YOUR EVALUATOR WILL HAVE YOUR BACK? DOES YOUR EVALUATOR COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY, ETC.

WE HAVE A PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE AND NEED A SAFETY STANDARD OF SERVICE FOR TEACHERS AND STAFF AT DISD.

FRIDAY, APRIL 14TH, AN ADULT MONITOR AT CAMPBELL HIGH SCHOOL REACTED AFTER BEING ATTACKED AND WAS ARRESTED ON CAMPUS WITHOUT AN INVESTIGATION AND JUDGED IN PUBLIC OPINION WHEN AN ALTERED VIDEO WAS LEAKED TO LOCAL MEDIA.

THIS MONITOR WAS THE SAME MONITOR WHO REMOVED A GUN FROM A STUDENT LAST YEAR.

HE AND TWO OTHER MONITORS HAVE BEEN THREATENED AND ASSAULTED,

WITNESSED BY CAMPUS LEADERSHIP, INCLUDING ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS AND THE DISCIPLINARY COORDINATORS.

WHERE IS THE SAFETY STANDARD OF SERVICE FOR OUR TEACHERS AND STAFF? WE HAVE HAD ITEMS STOLEN, RECEIVED DEATH THREATS, VEHICLES VANDALIZED, INCLUDING TEACHERS COMING OUT WITH THEIR CATALYTIC VEHICLES.

WE ARE LOSING STAFF AND TEACHERS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT FEEL SAFE AND PROTECTED.

THEY DESERVE TO GO HOME TO THEIR FAMILIES TOO.

THERE SHOULD BE PROTOCOLS IN PLACE FOR STANDARDS OF SERVICE.

THERE SHOULD BE INCIDENT REPORTS ON CAMPUS.

WHEN ESCALATED EVENTS ARE BEING REPORTED NOT ONLY ARE THE PARENTS IDENTIFIED, BUT DALLAS ISD POLICE ARE INVOLVED WHEN TEACHERS ARE ASSAULTED.

THERE SHOULD BE A PAPER TRAIL TO DEFEND THOSE TEACHERS AND NOT JUST HEARSAY.

WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER TEACHERS AS WELL, WHICH INFLUENCES ALL OF OUR DECISION-MAKING PROCESS.

SHOWING FAIRNESS IN THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT, DUE PROCESS IS NEEDED FOR EDUCATORS SUPPORT PERSONNEL, ESPS, AS WELL.

FOR OUR TREATMENT THROUGH THE DISTRICT SHOULD BE DISPLAYED IN RECORD, NOT ACCUSATION, AND HINDRANCES.

ESPS ARE STRONG IN SCHOOLS REPRESENTING EDUCATOR AS WELL AS BEING AN EDUCATOR.

ESPS ARE DEGREED HAVING ASSOCIATES AND/OR ADVANCED DEGREES.

ESPS ARE DRIVEN BY THEIR WORK.

JUST BELOW MARKET PAY, POOR WORKING CONDITIONS, WHICH INCLUDE EXCESSIVE WORKLOADS.

DURING THE PANDEMIC OF 2020 THE IT TECHNICIAN PROCESS AND COMMISSIONER WAS 70,000 TECHNOLOGY DEVICES, INCLUDING LAPTOPS, CHROMEBOOKS, IPADS, AND HOTSPOTS, WHICH ENSURED THAT EACH STUDENT AND EVERY TEACHER HAD A DEVICE.

THIS LOAD OF EQUIPMENT ONLY INCREASED OUT DAY TO DAY.

I WORK ON WORKLOAD ON A DAILY BASIS.

WE'D GET THEN AFTER THE PANDEMIC, WE DIDN'T GET ANY SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE, JUST THE BASIC THREE PERCENT RAISE.

ONLY, IF YOU CAN IMAGINE, 70,000 PIECES OF EQUIPMENT, BUT IT WOULD FILL THIS ROOM WITH TRUCKS ROLL FOR 12 HOURS A DAY, SIX DAYS A WEEK TO GET THOSE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CANVAS COMMISSION AND PROCESSED.

VIDEOS AND PICTURES WERE TAKEN THROUGH THE WINDOW WHILE THE MEETING WAS IN PROGRESS.

AFTER BEING TOLD THERE WAS A PRIVATE MEETING, IT WAS CONTINUED INTIMIDATION TACTICS BY TELLING THE SECURITY GUARD THAT SHE WOULD BE REPORTED FOR NOT LETTING THEM IN THE MEETING.

FURTHERMORE, CONTINUED TO TAKE PICTURES OF ATTENDEES LEAVING THE MEETING.

THERE HAS ALSO BEEN DEFAMING THE NAME AND CHARACTER OF OUR ORGANIZATION BY SOWING DISCORD WITH THE SCHOOL LEADERSHIP, BY STATING THAT WE WERE TRYING TO GET PRINCIPALS FIRED.

THIS BEHAVIOR IS INAPPROPRIATE FOR AN ELECTED OFFICIAL.

WE ARE AWARE OF MANY PRIVATE MEETINGS BEING HELD WITH MANY DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS AT THE DISTRICT.

WHAT MAKES OUR MEETING ANY DIFFERENT TO INCITE SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR THAT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED? EXTENSIVELY WITH THE SYSTEM THAT IS GOING ON AT WILMA HUTCHES HIGH-SCHOOL.

I DON'T KNOW IF MANY OF YOU ARE AWARE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED APRIL 14TH, WHERE A STUDENT WHO IS A 4.0 STUDENT WHO IS ATHLETIC STUDENT AND HER MOTHER WERE VERBALLY AND PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED BY STAFF MEMBER NAMED DR. ALFONSO WARFARIN AND ALL OF THIS IS ON VIDEOTAPE.

THE MOTHER WENT TO THE SCHOOL MANY AT TIMES TO REPORT THE BULLYING THAT WAS GOING ON WITH HER DAUGHTERS.

THE YOUNG LADIES EVEN WENT SO FAR TO STOP THE MOTHER AT HER JOB.

WHEN THE MOTHER CAME BACK TO THE SCHOOL TO ADDRESS THIS WITH THE FORESAID STAFF MEMBER, SHE WAS TOLD, GET THE HELL OFF MY CAMPUS.

THEN AS THE MOTHER WAS TRYING TO LEAVE WITH HER DAUGHTER AND THIS IS ON VIDEOTAPE, SIX OF THE GIRLS WHO WERE BULLYING THE YOUNG LADIES CAME OUT OF THE LUNCH ROOM.

THE SAID STAFF NAME WHO I CANNOT MENTION,

THEN TOOK ONE OF THE YOUNG LADIES AND BODY SLAMMED HER ON THE GROUND.

THEN ANOTHER ONE OF THE YOUNG LADIES THAT HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO BULLYING, HER CLOTHES WAS RIPPED OFF, AND HER HAT WAS PULLED OUT, AND THEN VIA TEXT, THEY WE'RE TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT COME BACK TO SCHOOL AND THE YOUNG LADY WOULD GO TO DP OR WHATEVER ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL THERE IS.

THE MOTHER AND THE STUDENT IS HERE RIGHT NOW.

IT TOOK GOING TO SMASH THE TOPIC, AND SETTING UP A PRESS CONFERENCE.

I KNOW THERE WAS A POINT IN TIME WHERE YOU HAD TO TAKE SOME DISCIPLINE CLASS OR DEFENSIVE CLASS AS A TEACHER.

EVEN COME IN AND WALK IN THE HALLWAYS NOW WE'RE JUST LETTING ANYONE IN.

NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO TRAIN THEMSELVES, NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO MAINTAIN THEMSELVES IN THE SCHOOL BUILDINGS.

WE WANT TO HAVE PEOPLE WHO ARE ABLE TO LEAD OUR KIDS.

IF THERE'S AN ISSUE WITH OUR LEADERSHIP THEN WE NEED TO START WITH OUR LEADERSHIP.

THAT MEANS THERE'S AN ISSUE SOMEWHERE THAT WE'RE NOT ADDRESSING.

THIS KEEPS HAPPENING, IT'S NOT JUST A ONE-OFF THING.

THERE'S NO REASON WHY A TEACHER FEELS LIKE WHEN THEY COME TO SCHOOL THEY'RE GOING TO GET JUMPED BY GANG MEMBERS.

IF THERE'S A NOTIFICATION AND YOU WANT TO KNOW THAT THERE ARE GANG MEMBERS IN OUR SCHOOL, WE NEED HELP. THAT'S AN ALERT.

IF WE HAVE THE METAL DETECTORS, IF THEY'RE NOT WORKING, CAN WE GET MORE? CAN WE GET SECURITY STAFF THAT WILL THERE TO HELP THE KIDS THAT ARE ACTUALLY THERE TO WORK AND NOT SIT AROUND JUST TO GET PAID? BUT AS SOON AS SOMETHING HAPPENS, THEY'RE GETTING ARRESTED IN FRONT OF ALL OF THESE KIDS, IN FRONT OF ALL OF THEIR PARENTS AND TEACHERS AND EMBARRASSED AND THEY CANNOT WORK FOR THE DISTRICT ANYMORE.

EVERYTHING HAS CONSEQUENCES OF GIFTS ADULT INSTEAD OF THE CHILD.
